The Nitty Gritty 

We are happy to make one of a kind pieces in the style, fabric, and size unique to you. These garments will be made to order in Toronto, Canada by designer Isla Cowan or studio assistant Curtis Matysek. You can browse within our family of styles or collection of fabrics with some sizing and style restrictions based on available yardage. 

We provide flat, scanned images of fabrics, as well as a swirled swatch taken in natural light with a measuring tape to give you more of an idea of the scale of patterns and weight of fabrics. If you’re still unsure about a fabric, we are happy to provide more photos and videos, and you are always welcome to come by our studio in person. We are located in the Junction in Toronto.

You are absolutely welcome to reach out to us if you have secondhand fabric of your own that you would like us to use!  

For information regarding sizing please refer to the size charts and measuring tips available on our Sizing page, or included with each of Our Styles. You can send us an email to inquire about pieces made to measure (at no extra cost) outside of our current offered sizes, or visit us in person to be measured. We also offer space for small modifications (which may have an included fee) such as, but not limited to, contrast pockets/flounces/ties, length adjustments, etc. The more unique, the better, in our opinion.  

Pricing varies by design, not by fabric. We ship worldwide. Shipping cost will depend on the weight and size of the garment chosen. More information about shipping estimates are provided on our Shipping page.

Please allow 2-4 weeks from order date to cut and sew your garment, it will be shipped out immediately upon completion.
